Rowan College at Burlington County to host summit highlighting value of veterans as employees

Rowan College at Burlington County, along with several other entities, is working to break down barriers between employers and veterans.

The college will host the Heroes2Hire summit Tuesday at the Enterprise Center at the Route 38 campus, highlighting the value of hiring veterans.

The summit, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be conducted by the RCBC Workforce Development Institute, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Higher Ed Assist, and Burlington County Board of Freeholders.

This is the first Heroes2Hire summit that the RCBC Workforce Development Institute is hosting. The institute opened last July as a tool that helps close the gap between employers and job seekers. Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will be a guest at the summit, as will Congressmen Tom MacArthur, R-3rd of Toms River, and Donald Norcross, D-1st of Camden.
