I will have to do more research on RSVP, et al. My primary volunteer service is with the Civil Air Patrol; however, I also support and serve other non-profit organizations, and community activities, from time to time.

I follow; I did some slightnCAPmstuff nackmwhenni was in, there was a squadron where I was, though that was at obviously ages ago, of course. I did Tue squadron leadership school (SLS), as well as NOrtheast Region Staff College (NERSC), I stilpmhave the certificates, if they'd be of any value. I'd looked quite seriously at that whole thing for USAFR IMAs where one was assigned to CAP, along with map t idm their stuff, unjust never joined a unit, Reserve or Guard, the disability constantly got in the way. I wanted to, I really did, I was on the list to go to the one overseas back in 90, I actually also still have the appreciation letter from USAFR for volunteering, though I was never used. Please understand: if you've looked at my stuff on here, I've been a lot of real things, not volunteer stuff, I just can't do the usual stuff volunteer a typically might be expected to do, as I'd said, I'm just not suited for such things. That's why I've looked so heavily at CAP and USCG auxiliary, both of those are relatively close by. Then I always encounter the Catch-22 of my disability, and the whole effort just never goes anywhere, virtually every single time, honest. Believe me, I've delved quite deeply into RSVP, they're only typically intended for normal volunteer stuff. I need to teach, if I could nemappowed, or help with research, since that's as high level as I could hope for, given my circumstances, my wife and I totally understand that. Trust me, it:s all really, really involved; I've asked by VA places near us about many aspects of RSVP and SeniorCorps, we've got others trying to help, we just never know if it'd do any good. The pastor of the church we go to let's me do some very small level of STEM tutoring stuff for her, with my wife; since that's religious stuff, it' basically OK, from what we've had me look into, she has me tutor for a summer enrichment thing for kids, I just couldn't do it this past summer, I had medical stuff that kept me from it, though I did it the prior two summers, we know she'd put in a good word. I was very seriously trained as a scientist and allied-health clinician, that's why I can't just answer phones, shuffle papers, or push wheelchairs or run errands in some hospital, no matter how socially redeeming, I wish I could, I just can't, we shut my license off years ago, due to the disability stuff. I'd also looked st state guard stuff, the volunteer kind, the thing is, it can't be allowed for insurance reasons, due to the disability aspect once again, from all I'd been told, believe me, I did very seriously try, I'd have loved to help those guys, honest. So, if you've got any thoughts, or know anyone who might be able to help, it'd quite rpfrankly be a virtual Godsend for us. I've looked at Sea Cadets and their SeaPerch underwater robotics stuff, their comp-sci training for their kids, Boy Scout merit badge stuff, zexplorer stuff, a lot of other things, I assure you. If you'd ever want to chat, I'd of course be more than willing; since I'd actually done stuff in CAP, and also got past Squadron Ofcr School and USMC Command and Staff by correspondence, both of them, if you think you might be able to do us any good with CAP such that it'd be within the disability rules, incl using RSVP, if at all possible, both my wife and I would of course be most deeply indebted. Please ne lieve me when I tell you, the rules for tjosemlike myself are very, very strict and draconian, I assure you, which is why I've looked into the whole thing as carefully, as I have, and spoken with all those I've chatted with. I'd be most eager for your further thoughts, if course, anytime, if I can explain more, I'll of course try, so far as I'm able, obviously, as well, !any thanks.
