That's what I said. At least the fun-runs here (in New Orleans) generally help a cause or a charity and the thing ends at a bar to ease the endorphins that start fading.

I used to run 3 to 4 miles on weekdays so I could eat whatever I wanted, but it was not fun.

MAJ Matthew Arnold - Yeah, but there was a little reciprocity to the method, too. Without at least the endorphins, it'd probably be like playing skee-ball or putt-putt or having sex but without any of the balls. (From a masculine perspective, anyway. I'm in no way insinuating or implying that the ladies have something against skee-ball.)

If other people want to, that's fine with me. I've never been a good runner. Did 14:27 at the end of basic on my 2-mile run and I don't remember ever getting any faster. I like to walk/hike/ non-technical climb, and riding a mountain bike is okay. Kayaking is alright as long as I have good backrest.

I'm the same way. I have a pretty quick pace in my normal stride as it is, but I'm not running unless I HAVE to.

Right now it's with a snow shovel in my hand scrapping the snow off the rocker and the deck.
