I do not know if this information is 100% correct. But I have seen over the years, this website is correct almost 100% of the time. Some people do not like this website.
Anyway, check out the armor these blokes are wearing. I would have to wear that before I could tell if that is something grunts can wear. I like the picture too. But these guys are not wearing covers, or helmets. I find that odd when in the field.
Is the larger barrel a 20mm, or 50cal? The smaller one a 60? I can't tell. But I have never seen a 50 with such a long barrel. I have seen 20mm on USS Simon Lake.

Good moring SGT. Do you remember the Bible reads how Gog and MaGog attack Israel? Some read the King of the north as Russia. Some write Turkey.

when I didn't need to wear a helmet, I didn't, so it's honestly not that odd. As for the vehicle, it's the BTR-80A, which uses a 30mm and a 7.62 coaxial.

I would like to agree with you SPC. But underestimating the enemy who has been fighting proxy wars since we took out Saddam are skilled in guerrilla warfare.
Remember, evena Platoon Sgt needs support in the field and can not stop a round. Regardless of how much bravado and physical strength he has.
Russia has signed a treaty with Iran. So, has China. In the treaty, it reads how they must help Iran incase they are attacked. Meanwhile, Hizbolla has defeated Israel in the field a few years back.
I highly recommend, in order for your view to be correct, the US and Israel would have to use overwhelming force to gain the edge in a confrontation with Iran, Syria and Hizbolla. Then, if Russia and China enter into it, it might go global.
Tell me, who do you think would take control of Iran if we blow the snot out of them?
Please get your thinking cap on this one. American service persons lives will depend on how things unfold in the near futher. Until 9-11 Hizbolla has murdered more Americans.

Cynthia C. - Agreed 100%. But the problem is the oil shiplines to our weak allies and the Saudi's have been black eyed twice now. They are crying for their mommie to do something.

Cynthia C. - The Saudis relied on the Patriot Missile system by itself to protect their refinery which is exceedingly stupid as the Patriot cannot engage low flying targets such as a cruise missile that hugs the terrain. Iranian technology found a way around the Patriot. You can shoot down a cruise missile but you need a BOFORS type anti-aircraft gattling gun which the Saudi Army was too dumb to deploy. Iran saw the opening in their defenses and exploited it. Patriot is intended for medium to high flying objects. It cannot engage helos, cruise missiles or low flying CAS aircraft.
