We have/had JROTC. It used to be real military training. People actually got smoked. We even had a rifle team. I remember getting out of gym to go to the armory in the basement of the HS to clean rifles, unsupervised. Now that I think about it when JROTC became kinder and gentler the country started going to the dogs.
