So basically she was an "anchor baby" and the Swiss won't automatically roll with the citizenship. Well they are free to make their own rules. Just because you're born some place doesn't make you a citizen of which ever country. Do your immigration the correct and legal way and no one will have much of a problem with you.

Each country has the right to set the guidelines for citizenship. I know the screening process we have isn't the best.
