I drove in SA without any problem. Occasionally the religious police would follow me if I was in a suburban area. Further out no one seemed to care with the exception of some locals in a small community here or there. I'm sorry to hear that some had problems.

We were in Riyadh and I can remember Saudi contract soldiers, which were acting as ground guides, giving my female drivers trouble.

It was 125 degrees inside the cab of the truck and the girls were allowed to remove their blouses which infuriated the Saudis.

You are lucky you where not pulled out of the car and killed and I mean seriously. People underestimate how offensive even small things are to those people.
