This is one of the biggest reasons I believe America and Europe need to strive hard for energy security. We're seen as hypocrites by much of the world for allying with the Gulf countries and buying up their oil, but then fighting a war on terror simultaneously.

I agree with you. But, you are thinking like a nationalist.
The agenda, IMO, is slavery under the Central Banks. Islam is a tool to destroy culture and create chaos.

Well, Islam has been doing a great job destroying culture in Europe. Girls are afraid of getting raped and do not want to go anywhere alone. The French police stay out of Islamic no go areas for fear of violence.
I wonder how Americans feel about genital mutilation. Have you seen that in the news lately?
How does burkas in Deerborn, ME. contribute to American culture? It doesn't. Nor does Shiria courts.
In Afghanistan, it has a 49 percent man boy love relationship. An American service man kicked the living dog shit out of an Afgan police officer for raping a boy. I applaud that. But, that Afgan culture is following Muhammad. Islam's perfect man who raped and murdered.
Everywhere Islam is 10 percent, or greater, they are violent. Islam's god, known as the one true god of the Kaaba is Su'en. In the Koran, there is no mention of a redemer. But, the G-d of Noah sent info from about 2000BC to men about a redemer. Over 70 percent of Americans understand the redemer to be Jesus. Who was murdered to take the place for human sin.
In the Koran, Jesus was not murdered nor Rose from the dead.
These are but a few issues with Islam. It has no choice but to attack all other religions and political systems. It's perfect man demanded it.
