Clarification on Senate bill 1322 (CA)
*I am not a lawyer, nor did I attend any advanced classes in the study of laws*

While I do not condone in any facit a child being engaged in sexual acts with anyone, let alone a full grow adult.. this bill does not legalize child prostitution or eliminate statutory rape. It "appears" to simply allow for a child being forced to be a prostitute or be a sex slave to be free from prosecution as a prostitute. And not legally ruin that child's life and further traumatize them. If this will be the first law that is not loopholed and stretched than it is actually a good law. The child will not go to jail for being forced to sell his/her body to full grow adults.

It is being said wide spread right now that "this law legalizes paedophilia" and it does not. It does not lowe the age of consent, it does not remove statutory rape charges l, and does not legalize child prostitution. As members of the military, both current and former, it's our jobs to set the example for the rest of America. That includes doing your due diligence in looking up the factual information and coming to an informed conclusion. Then clarifying the news for others if the question it.

In a world of bias and partiality, it falls in the shoulders of every man to question all, believe nothing, and seek the real truth.
