What do my fellow movie buffs think about this? I'm not necessarily against remakes unless it involves an iconic film like this. No matter how good it is it will never live up to the original for many people.

why... it only Glorified the Life and Crimes of A Drug lord...

I'm a diehard Scarface fan, I don't know about this one... I can't think of a remake that has ever lived up to the original.

I think it'll be okay to do the remake of this movie. However, I highly doubt that it will live up to the original. I might be wrong though.....have to see it first.
