I'm not happy with this decision, but I'm just one of millions of John Q. Public's in this country. Remington is going to have to defend their advertising practices, not their manufacturing of AR style guns. Advertising has been fair game for litigation for a long time. I would hazard the guess that most of us at one time or another have gotten mad about some manufacture's product claim, after we purchased something and discovered the product didn't live up to the hype.

I never understood the logic of suing a manufacturer for what a person did.

I think you’re right to a point. I really don’t think it is a direct attack on makers. But an attack on the NRA for refusing to work with the parents and public to find common ground. I will fight to keep my rifle, shotguns, pistols and my black powder rifle. I am not a fan or the NRA, but someone has to extend an olive branch. My fear is that enough of the public bands together to force a change in the constitution. Remember, it is a living document. Just my 2 cents. I am aware most of RP will ask me to take 2cents back.
