Here's an odd story of the day for everyone. We can only handle so much politics and military topics on a Monday morning.
Note there is a full video that shows people feeding the sea lion for several minutes before the animal attack. Luckily the child is okay and still unknown why it did what it did but I'm in no rush to condemn all sea lions. Just another example that we shouldn't take animal behavior for granted.

It never fails to amaze me that humans have stopped recognizing that we're nowhere near the top of the food chain without our tech. People that think I'm wrong are welcome to walk the African Savannah or Alaskan Tundra without a gun. Anyway, I don't think it was trying to eat her, I think it was curious. It let her go easily enough when the old Asian guy jumped in -- and, kudos to him.
