I don’t think those relieved necessarily *caused* these problems, but ultimately they either were unaware of them or allowed them to fester. That’s a textbook definition of breakdown of good order and discipline.

Already stated my thoughts, disciplinary action yes, firing no. It takes years to gain the experience to become the premier fighter that this group had. It seems that their leadership should have been aware of the problems and acted sooner to end the behavior.

USN has always believed that Command is absolute. The Captain of a ship or Team is responsible for the actions of the unit, and without fail is held accountable. Due to PC and media exposure it sometimes causes unintended consequences.
