Senate Defense Bill Would Require Women to Register for the Draft

Symbolic at best, but no reasonthey shouldn't be treated same as males.

This has been debated for years, especially since they got rid of combat exclusion.

Either make everyone register or just get rid of it all together. It's that simple. The only reason we weren't required all these years is combat exclusion policy. That the draft was used to primarily fill infantry roles and since women weren't allowed to be infantry/combat MOS, that's why we weren't required to register. Well that's been gone for several years. Women have been in combat. So just change the law.

Also every time this comes up, I see males commenting like this was a decision made by women. As the case is with every system in this country, it was created by men. Not women.
