That is interesting news SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that the Senate version of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs funding bill, which passed Thursday in an 89-8 vote, included a provision that would require VA to cover fertility treatments for the estimated 1,800 to 2,000 post-9/11 troops whose combat or training-related injuries have affected their ability to have children.
I understand the emotional appeal of focusing on younger veterans; but, it is disingenuous at best to ignore those veterans going back through Desert Storm to the Vietnam War who have been afflicted for so much longer.
It reminds me that the government moved to help the HIV infected community by having the FDA/CDC work on a process to determine who should be able to give blood from that limited but very influential group. The much larger but less influential group of those of us who were stationed in Europe especially Germany and Benelux during the 1980s who may have been exposed to British beef infected with bovine spongiform have not been benefited by a process to determine which of us have been infected short of a autopsy which has been the only sure way.

The Senate actually had 89 Senators vote in favor of a bill to help Veterans? Finally, conclusive agreement on a sensible bill!
