Here are some interesting links with information to consider regarding the awarding of the PH:

Just putting forth resources for others to consider.........

Also, I was not aware that there was a National Purple Heart Day. In 2020 it will be celebrated on 07 August 2020 {https://militarybenefits.info/purple-heart-day/}. Seems to me the RP site administration team should, say under the resources tab, provide a total list of days beyond Memorial and Veterans Day that celebration other aspects of veterans lives like:

- 08 May 2020 - Military Spouse Appreciation Day (https://militarybenefits.info/military-spouse-appreciation-day/)
- Month of April 2020 - Military Children's Appreciation Day (https://militarybenefits.info/month-of-the-military-child/)
etc.

Just saying..................

If it does not meet the normal standard of a Purple Heart award, it should not be awarded. Like it or not, this is not an injury/wound/loss of life engaged with an enemy in combat. The Saudi's are actually an ally and this happened on US territory and they were invited guests.
