I decline to answer this one. But I will say this, there is so much more I can now eat if pushed to that brink of hunger again.

Ha ha...I know the feeling, I rarely have been starved...but I notice I do love my food now, all of it. I'm not picky one iota. Thank God we had a short one. How long was yours? @SGT Edward Thomas

I will say this, a portion of the class is what I with much fondness call the "creative homelessness" course.

My SERE experience took place on Camp Pendleton, a Mobile Training Team led the training, while it wasn't as long as an 'official' course, we we stripped down naked with a bag on our head, and positioned, butt to nut...a new bond was forever forged with my platoon...as a woman officer started yelling at us in some foreign dialect, making fun of the size of our peckers...we tried not to laugh...at first. Then the training began...each class is unique and different. Share your story.

Only men of True character & Resolute stoicism can endure what you went through at SERE and THANK you for sacrificing so much of yourself for the defense of this nation. Your experiences are as bad as the experiences shared by my buddy who attended SERE back in 92. Much of course was considered "Classified" although living now in the Information Dissemination era alot of Flight Candidates and others have shared their narratives online. The Methodology of instruction & even the length of the course has been modified over and over again to meet the dynamic nature of the War On Terror. - - - - He attended SERE @ Fairchild AFB, Washington. Although he never stated any "Nut-to-Butt" formations upon arrival he did allude to being Cavity-Searched upon completion of classroom component and again after "Capture".
-----The most grueling challenge -physically speaking- was holding stress positions and being frog-marched back-and-fourth. He developed muscular spasms & the lack of sleep was absolutely deadening. He had his share of being slapped around too!
-------Mentally speaking- he described being questioned (and not very nicely) by a female while he was nude... no socks, no underwear, Nothing!. That went on for about an hour he said.. although his sense of time was askew due to sever lack of sleep.
Standing butt-naked, at attention while some woman officer interrogates you for an hour would crack me. Neither he nor his brothers-in-arms cracked however. The only thing we could never figure out was why several of his fellow trainees were hooded during the questioning but some werent. He was able to see what his "captor" looked like in the interrogation... and of course the female was able to see ALL of him. any theories? Thanks for sharing your story. God Bless you and your Famliy!
