Finally! I have seen so many issues with the current tape test. I have seen Soldiers who max their PT test and go the gym every night be taped constantly because their muscle mass busts weight. You can obviously tell they are not out of shape or overweight. On the other hand I have seen Soldiers that weigh 300+ pounds who pass the test because they have a large neck. What kind of standard is that?

That is the truth. I always have to get taped.

The standard created by someone who knows nothing about human anatomy and physiology.

I had my first taping after failing weight by three pounds. I workout pretty much everyday and weigh about 7 pounds more than I weighed last year when I was not working out as much. This time I ended up failing tape by one percent based on several factors - being taped on the day I had an APFT so I ate, the NCO not knowing how to tape and the taping system not being a valid way of determining accurate fat percentage.

As I said on other posting. In-tuned leadership mixed with common sense can do some amazing things. Thank you SMA.

This is a SMA that listens very well to the needs of the Soldiers and acts on that. He is addressing all the minor issues that troops have been complaining about for years.

Now there will be no grey area. At least that's the hope.
