I have to salute these people. There are thousands of sailors who are interred in the dark cold depths of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. A Continental Soldier is buried enroute to Trenton because he succumbed to the bitter winter conditions. Some are buried at Gettysburg, in fields of waving grass. Soldiers are entombed in what was thick mud at Somme. A solitary person rests under a date palm in Tunisia. The wind shifts the sand daily. Marines are buried in the sands of Tarawa, all in a straight line. A soldier is hidden in the rocky crevice on a mountain in Korea. Many are hidden by the jungle and winding trees in Vietnam. The sun and the moon keep company. Sometimes there is a fog in the mornings. Maybe it is their spirits.
