I liked Calvin and Hobbs. But you can't forget about Gary Larson and the Farside!

I always liked Calvin and Hobbes, but found it to be indispensable to the morale of my buddies and I during the first gulf war. I still have photos of us in full-on Spiff mode. It was a regular feature of Stars and Stripes which was pretty much our only link for 9 months with the outside world so maybe that made it mean even more?
Examples of leadership can be found everywhere and the author did ok in his selection. I would also add to remember to have patience when some of your soldiers and/or junior leaders and their imagination lead to unexpected results, much as Calvin's parent routinely do. We all learned by making mistakes but sometimes we get long lasting lessons that way.
