SGT (Join to see) What have you done for me lately? That is what it is all about. Universities are willing to make millions off these kids playing sports. They pay them roughly 50,000 for their time via scholarships. The athletes are held to a much tighter standard as to what is acceptable for employment, and how they make extra money. When an incident occurs, they try to sweep it under the rug so that they can continue exploiting these kids. When someone pulls back the rug and exposes the incident, that is when the universities throw them to the wolves. "We can no longer make money off of you, so you must go away." This is not new. This is not limited to OU. Is Shannon right that it is hypocritical? Absolutely. Is it systemic as opposed to isolated to one program? You bet your ass it is. With more pressure on top tier programs to win, this is not going to get better, it is only going to get worse.

there is no reason this should have happened a second time it should have been shut down the first time...
They took way too long ... after what happened UNC in the past ... these folks are just sitting back and bidding their time...
like last night Coach K benched a starter and suspended him this morning...
