Good read. And then there was Sheridan's nemesis, the Gray Ghost. Also a little-remembered TV series.

John S. Mosby – Shenandoah at War
John S. Mosby was feared by Union commanders who operated in northern and western Virginia. Born near Richmond, Virginia, in 1833 he was a bit of a ruffian in his teenage years and imprisoned for shooting one of his classmates at the University of Virginia. Mosby pursued a legal career and practiced law before the Civil War in Bristol, Virginia.

Great History Share.
A valley that feed two Grand and Glorious Armies who cherished their beliefs knowing they were both right. It gave until it could give no more, the Valley like the men in the opposing armies prayed for peace. Prayed for a time of refreshing, a time of renewal. Today we enjoy it all and we are refreshed and feel a sense of renewal that can only be felt in the presence of our Creator and Savior. The valley is alive and renewed providing succor for those who care for her.
