Given the support Sheriff Clarke provided to President Trump and his experience, I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't been selected for one of the top leadership posts in law enforcement at the Federal level.

Local Law Enforcement should have a roll. They are on the front lines everyday an come into contact with people that would normally go unnoticed by Federal Law Enforcement. The Oath Law Enforcement takes include the words to Uphold the laws of the City,County, State and Federal Laws.
