Sheriff exposes liberal columnist's traffic stop tale for the lie that it is

This has been the talk of the town. Everyone was so glad that Sheriff Carey fought back against this schmuck. They (the columnist's supporters) tried to play it off because the columnist is an uber left-wing democrat, but that was quashed fast because Sheriff Carey runs under the democrat party. So the pitting of one political party versus another ploy didn't quite work for them.
It only took 2 days of public outcry for the Tribune (or the Spitoon as we call it here) to respond to the incident & suspend the columnist - who has been with that paper since the 60s.

His story/column was complete BS and he should have been smart enough to know there would be dash cam video to show this. I would only agree with him in that the ticket for not using a turn signal seems like it could have been handled with a warning. He did fully stop, yield the right of way etc. I might have said something smarmy like "are you guys starved for things to do, issuing citations for lack of turn signal use?" You could write hundreds of those a day every time someone didn't use one changing lanes.

The guy us a typical leftist journalist though, playing the victim of the police state and all of the fear and intimidation he felt. The stop was handled professionally and politely even if for a chickens shit offense.
