I carry as often as I'm allowed (unfortunately, I work at a Federal campus, and Federal regulation prohibits weapons of any type - so often, I find I either have to have an alternative to store my weapon nearby, or I have to leave it at home). I would love it if the Federal Government would allow concealed (or even open) carry on their property - and if they made it a requirement to have a certain level of reasonable training, and pay a REASONABLE fee, I'd do it in a heart beat. NC was looking at an enhanced concealed carry - which would basically allow you to carry in locations where regular concealed carry couldn't, but you'd have to have a certain amount of training and pay a reasonable fee, plus go through an additional background check. Once completed, you'd actually have a "badge" that identified you as a legal enhanced CCW holder, and you'd have to have it on you if you were carrying. Unfortunately, it looks like NC decided not to pursue this... SHM.

SFC (Join to see) That is something that instead of being shelved, should be pursued by all states. As much as I hate the process, I would pay extra to just be able to holster my weapon, and go about my day without having to stop to remove it because I am going into this office, or that building.
