To me this is an example of stupidity on the part of the protest organizers. Having the children behave in a disrespectful manner, using obscenities and inappropriate gestures does nothing to garner support for their cause. If anything it galvanizes and supports the narrative put forth by many that the illegal immigrants are lawless and bound to be a burden on the nation, thereby proving their point for them.
So in this case when given an opportunity to showcase the desperation of the poor and their having to send their children away to a strange country for a better life, and gain the support of the people of the host nation they instead show us a bunch of ungrateful, in- disciplined, juvenile delinquents of which we have plenty on hand domestically with no need to import any more.

My experience has shown that those that immigrate and become citizens legally are more likely to be patriotic to their adopted country. When it comes easily, it and the country that they illegally entered are disrespected. A VP that I once worked for had a saying, "That which is free, has no value."

They look kind me of cute, but... When my son was that age, we would have had a long talk if I saw him flipping off anyone regardless of who they are. I understand the anger though.
Mr. Trump and Senator Sanders are symptoms of dissatisfaction. The growing partisan divide, fueled by propaganda created by think tanks and distributed by fake news outlets, has given birth to dangerous populism. On one end, you have a billionaire trust fund baby without the vaguest notions of diplomacy, that would style himself after Putin and scare the crap out of our allies. On the other end, you have an extreme idealist who would trash the banking system just to score points and dismantle the military to feed the poor with the naive view that if everyone would be nice to each other and love one another, we wouldn't have to kill so many people.
Recently, I've heard people speak against giving green cards to qualified non-citizens who wish to serve. How could that be a bad thing? A path to citizenship for people who would serve the country as a prerequisite to living here. Self absorbed little hairballs who think Main Street USA is an attraction at Disneyland and think the military is for losers get it by default.
My experience with immigrants from Mexico and Central America has generally been pretty good. Mostly, I see hard working employed people and entrepreneurs who want to earn their way to the American Dream. I've hired people from other countries in the past because we just don't produce enough engineers in our schools, especially with advanced degrees. I do enjoy English literature, but T'is neither here nor there that I have no need for someone with a PhD in Shakespeare.
