3:25 p.m.
Investigators say one person may be responsible for threats called into a local hospital and a university as officers responded to a deadly shooting at a high school in Alpine, Texas.
Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson said during a news conference Thursday that a male caller reported a bomb threat at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, while another threat was called into an Alpine hospital. A threatening note was found around the same time at a motel about 30 miles away.
Dodson says investigators are looking for the caller and he could face federal charges. Investigators don't believe the threats are related to the shooting at Alpine High School.
Investigators say a 14-year-old freshman died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting and injuring another female student inside the school.
