MSgt George Cater In some areas, that isn't even an option. It isn't like boycotting Starbucks where the product is a luxury. In some places the only grocery store available is Publix. What is a person going to do, starve because they won't shop at Publix? I doubt that highly. Although, that would give them martyr status among the morons so maybe they would starve.

When I lived in Polk County, I voted for Adam Putnam and even met him. I liked him. The new 12th District does not cover my old house anymore, we are 15th.

Again, this is likely not going to hurt Publix. Publix is so ingrained in Florida, especially Polk County. Hell, my high school was named after the founder. It is one of the biggest employers in the state and they treat their workers really well, even the part-time folks.

Again, I believe these stores should be allowed to do what they want. Free market decisions bring free market consequences, but come on, Winn Dixie over Publix? Not a chance.

I really wish that these businesses would stay out of politics and just do what they do.
