Given the recidivism rate of offenders not terror related - why wouldn't this alarm any sane person. Specifically, The Bureau of Justice Statistics study tracked 404,638 prisoners in 30 states after their release from prison in 2005. The researchers found that within three years of release 67.8 percent of released prisoners were rearrested. That figure rose to 76.6 percent after 5 years. Further, of those
who were rearrested, more than half (56.7 percent) were arrested by the end of the first year.

There are some crimes (murder, terrorism, pedophilia) that should automatically imprison you for life....

We should be very concerned, and alarmed. The risk of repeat offenders is in my view extremely high.
