LCDR (Join to see) My ship was also part of the the attack on Libya in 1986. I remember all the briefings in the wardroom, and was provided additional info due to my GQ station as a WEC. I found this info very interesting and it gave me a lot of history that led up to our attack. I was always amazed at how little recognition for this attack was given to the units involved, given how successfully it was executed, not to mention how extensively we damaged the Libyan Military and the country's infrastructure and the royal palace!!

LCDR (Join to see) - If you were hanging with the STO, you were hanging with the #1 combat Systems crew member. He headed up the SErT Ships Electronic Readiness Team) which was composed of the top tech in each division in Combat Systems Department. Bill you hang out with good people for a sailor!!

LCDR (Join to see) Now, you made me look up the Greek word for thank you, and when I saw it written out phonically as a Greek would say it, I can see how "I found the STO" got you close to Thank you in Greek. I have a Greek Niece and I will try it out on her!
