This is a petition to sign into law, a standard op procedure to assist families and LEO/first responders a method to assist at risk veterans that have displayed signs of suicide, or have disappeared and have displayed signs of suicide. Bear in mind, this is a rough draft, and if you agree but think something should be changed, feel free to let us know. This will be amended and adopted to suit us properly as it runs through the cycle, however we need the support. This not only offers a statute that can allow a veteran feel more comfortable to ask for help, but allows snv a comfort zone to avoid criminal prosecution by civilian court for 'non-violent, non felony' crimes, (not a get out of jail free card, for something minor a veteran would be adjudicated by a court of veterans, and if snv did not comply, the civilian courts would reinstate charges.) This a way to take care of each other, and try to put an end to veteran suicide. Again, if you feel any changes should be made, feel free to contact. Input is always accepted. Thank you!
