TSgt Joe C. wow, this is interesting, had no ideal of a Balloon Bomb sent over the Pacific Ocean towards America. Good informative read/share.

Thanks for sharing the not-too-surprising news TSgt Joe C. that while WWII was still raging against Japan Mrs. Elsie Mitchell and five neighborhood children [Edward Engen, Sherman Shoemaker, Jay Gifford, and Richard and Ethel Patzke] were killed while attempting to drag a Japanese balloon out the woods.
If they had been wise they would have notified the local military warden or coordinator about what they found instead of trying to drag it out of the woods.
Thanks for alerting me SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
