For specific examples, if a gay couple wants to get married they may be denied doing it at a church or not be able to get the person they want to marry them because they are gay. I could elaborate more if needed, but you should get the point. Additionally, some states still do not allow same sex couple to adopt, also not 100% sure, but the inability to sponsor a same-sex spouse for citizenship.

SSG Jordan Gaudard - Thanks for the feedback. There is no equality or justice for ALL in America. That's the bottom of it. I'm sick of most prancing around the core issue. Anerica better wake up and heal before it's too late.

SSG Jordan Gaudard - And the justice system, bank, corporations, educational institutions... Don't treat everyone fairly either. However, I appreciate your input.

Disagree, in part.
As a general comment, I do not personally agree with this form of protest, but recognize the rights of others to do it, i.e. Mr. Kaepernick, et al. As others here mentioned, it is one of the rights of citizens of this country to protest. Additionally, Mr. Kaepernick has chosen a form of protest that is visually symbolic without being disruptive, dangerous, damaging to body or property, etc.
With respect to Ms. Rapinoe's actions, I took the above position when she protested while playing for her club team (Seattle Reign). However, I completely disagreed when she elected to do so while wearing the US National team uniform. There are certain responsibilities that come with jobs/positions, and in my opinion, properly recognizing and standing for the National Anthem while one is voluntarily (not to mention being paid) wearing the National Team uniform/crest is one of them.
I liken it to Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis' problems in Kentucky. She doesn't agree with same-sex marriage. Fine, complain while not working/representing the govt but when you re in that office, being paid to be the govt, set your personal feelings aside, do your job, follow the law, and issue licenses accordingly.

I think we need to be proud to live in a country where people have freedom to do and say in their views.
