Obama "We are the ones we have been waiting for"
Obama delivers another great line at his Super Tuesday speech in Chicago
There is an old quote about this: If I had a dollar for every time Socialism worked around the world I'd have no money; but if Socialism did work I'd probably have no money.
The issue with the Left and and their devotion to Socialism is they think they just need the right folks to implement it. That is why Mr. Obama is an almost cult like figure. He couldn't do anything beside read a teleprompter but he shifted politics to our current condition. Remember the line, we are the People you have waited for. The Left in Venezuela will continue to press that they are the only ones with the answers. Power is the ambrosia of politics; not solutions.

While the elite and politicians eat like oligarchs. I thought those socialists aspired to "equality." -sarcasm

Rich Venezuelans eat sushi, guzzle cocktails amid chaos
While most Venezuelans struggle to buy food and make ends meet, a small group still manages to eat sushi and sip cocktails in exclusive discos and country clubs. The country may be stricken by poverty and political violence, but a rich minority acts like they are untouched by the crisis. Case in point

Some numbers on Bolivia from our CIA friends. Bolivia is a resource rich country with strong growth attributed to captive markets for natural gas exports – to Brazil and Argentina. However, the country remains one of the least developed countries in Latin America because of state-oriented policies that deter investment and growth. Labor Force 4.993 million (2016 est.), Population below poverty line: 38.6%, GDP- per capita (PPP): $7,200 (2016 est.). Even if Inflation is 4% does that mean the cost of a car dropped so that you can buy a new one every two years with that $7,200 per year income? I hear people singing the praises of Socialism but I do not see them moving to said Socialist places in mass for the so much better X that it has.
