He's really not worth the effort, but I'll voice my opinion of his "cause." I'll talk about socialism because I think that nationalizing industry and seizing private property is probably not the first step to "winning" status. Unfortunately idealism often has very little to do with rational thought. Socialism has failed everywhere it's ever been implemented. It's oppressive, destroys personal freedom, stifles ambition and crushes innovation. I know, the popular mantra we hear now is, "Yes, but it will be different this time." Sure, the idea of socialism wins the hearts and minds of many disillusioned people who think they'll all share in the spoils of some kind of 'Robin Hood party' when the 'rich' have to pay everything, just because.... The promise of a level playing field, taxing the rich their "fair" share, blah, blah, blah...The actual practice of socialism, however, is really good at taking the "have nots" and making them into the "have even less". The only people who benefit are the people in charge. The everyday people Stalin called the "Useful idiots" are the ones that suffer.
