Fort Jackson soldier found guilty in video confrontation with Black man
A noncommissioned Army officer depicted in a viral video accosting and shoving a man in a South Carolina neighborhood has been convicted of third-degree assault. A judge found Fort Jackson Army Sgt. What the article and video fail to mention is that the black man had assaulted a woman in that same neighborhood a half hour before this encounter. It also fails to mention the man was walking toward the Sgts wife who was on the lawn.
Indecently, the sheriffs department declined to charge the black man on the assault charges. That’s the facts.
