I remember before we deployed to Iraq in 2008. Rumors were swirling about our whole transportation company getting issued the new "dragon armor". There were multiple articles in the Army Times about it. It looked so cool and comfortable.
When we got to Kuwait we were issued brand new.... IOTVs (gen 1). It was dissapointing to say the least.
To this day nothing new has come out. So I'm very supportive of anything new coming in for the sake of the SMs that are still in the grind.

Dragon skin was total garbage. It was fine in perfect lab conditions or the simple tests that were done for videos. But it failed both Army and Marine testing (separate tests at different times). Then after Pinnacle cried to Congress, Congress forced another test, with a lot of Congressional oversight, and it failed miserably again.
It can't handle any kind of POL, it falls apart in the heat, and the disks weren't as protective as claimed.
