I'm pretty sure the rifle and the motto are not appropriate for highschool kids.

Sgt Joe LaBranche - Highschool isn't the time to showcase warrior culture to 13-17 year olds. Marines guns good, highschool students guns bad.

Sorry, MSgt Michelle Mondia, I thought you were referring to "Marines" on the front of the shirt.

Sgt Joe LaBranche - Little Lee Harvey in the picture there looks like he's two clicks away from mounting a clock tower and opening fire, know what I'm saying.

Sgt Joe LaBranche - I've seen that shirt on the back it has the whole riflemen's creed. The line..."My rifle is my best friend. It is my life." Can kinda freak people out.

As crazy as things are, almost any depiction of a firearm is Verboten in the public schools. Including fingers and food. And the choice of term from the Germans was intentional.

That's not simply a marine t-shirt. i doubt if all it had on it was the marine logo on the front, that it would have been ruled out of bounds. Kids who are bombarded with news reports of mass school shootings and other shootings don't need to see a kid walking around with a picture of the type rifle used in those shootings at school. That kid is 11 years old FFS. Give it a rest, dad.
