Space Force's Top Enlisted Leader Would Get $1.8 Million Home in 2023 Budget Request

How the heck is that justified?

I know housing prices here are radically different than housing prices there. But 1.8 million for a 3500 square feet is ridiculous.

Zillow has three homes in the 3500 - 4000 sq ft range in that area. They are priced at 360K, 499K, and 950K. So almost double the MOST expensive home in the area.

And that's not even considering WHY THE HELL does the CMSSF need 3500 square feet? Anyone at that rank is *not* going to have 10 kids running around. Their kids are going to be grown, or at least most of them. A very nice, comfortable 3 BR home - with formal dining room and everything - can be built for 2500 square feet. He may be the TOP enlisted leader in the space force. But his is still a friggin member of the military. Not royalty, not a celebrity, and not a Congress Critter. Military. He should live like it.
