I actually think this might just have a fairly halfway decent chance of succeeding, the scientific basis for it seems quite sound, there are also numerous YouTube videos as well...

Hey i think it would be pretty cool to do in real life. Just being a big start trek fan I could resist. I enjoy talking to some of the guys that work on the space side of the industry. They always have the coolest stories.
