I was posted in a highly sensitive duty station when I married the bride-from-hell. A background check was run on her and I wish they had told me what they discovered. It might have saved me some grief

Same here. I married someone from Panama. They did a small background check on her. Too bad they didn't let me know she was batSh$t crazy.

That's some interesting background. I knew he shook the Royals up by picking her but had no idea about this. Truly an example of giving up almost everything for love. Imagine that, King of England, amazing. My family accepted me marrying a "foreigner" well. She's as American as I am and from Scots-Irish descent, but is from CT and thereby considerably north of the Mason-Dixon Line. She was ribbed a tad but that's the extent of it. Thanks for sharing.
