Happy St Patty's Week! Here is my favorite way to cook the traditional corned beef and cabbage. I skip the potatoes but you can certainly add some to this recipie.

This recipe confuses me. The list of ingredients begins with "3 lbs corned beef cabbage rinsed". Does that mean that you purchase corned beef and cabbage and rinse it? Generally, the greatest purveyors of corned beef keep their recipes secret, but I have used this one countless times and it produces authentic corned beef flavor. I keep getting requests from friends and family to make it again and again. It takes 10 days to marinate the beef, but it's worth losing a little space in your refrigerator for that time. After its made, I reserve the broth to boil the cabbage and potatoes...
