My MTI was a SrA that left for NCO school as soon as we graduated. Was going to have him pin on my badge, but couldn't find him to ask, sadly.

Many years ago 69-72 we experimented with airmen becoming MTI's - worked out ok. I started as Sgt for Tech School K9 and went to basic as SSGT

MSgt Vernon Anderson both MTIs I had were SrA. One of them went to SSgt right after I graduated, not sure about the other, though.
