I've met Star Parker and followed her writings and speeches. She is very intelligent, articulate, and tempered by the experiences of rising from poverty despite the best efforts of a political class to keep her chained to welfare

@SFC Stephen Atchley as someone who lived through it, he definitely had a different perspective of what freedom and liberty means than we do today. Those who do not learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them. The American Revolution, The Civil War, The Civil Rights Movement all were violent acts intended to affect a change in the status quo. We are still fighting those battles today. Just as the 2A is the muscle giving teeth to the 1A, the 14A protects the freedom guaranteed in the 13A. It is really too bad that politicians would rather trample the rights guaranteed in our Constitution rather than standing up for the Constitution and dealing with the humanity. Ultimately that is what this boils down to: Our humanity. This article was indeed informative, and thought provoking.
