As of the afternoon of January 20th, Axanar and CBS agreed to a settlement whereby the movie will now be 2 15 minute segments and the Prelude to Axanar will be permitted to remain available. CBS essentially won but not a total defeat. Sad for the vision and treatment of fan productions and professional actors with Trek experience by CBS, but a livable compromise.

LucasFilms has been allowing it for years and some of those productions are very well made. And they even created an award for best "Fanfilm." I think that CBS and Paramount need to discuss this with LucasFilms and do the same as them.

The Problem is that the Fan made one got better feed back than the Paramount one....especially this last Fast and Furious meets Star Trek. They got former Star Trek Actors to appear and it cost millions less,
