I was in Vietnam in October of 1967 when everyone predicted that Israel was going to be wiped off the map. (Well, most everyone. I didn't agree.) Funny thing is that everyone I spoke with was ready to head there and defend Israel rather than Vietnam. The universal response was, "Well, at least the Jews are willing to fight for themselves."
