I think the Chinese and Indians are building many new coal fired plants to meet their rising need for power. This is one of the reasons they did not have to reduce CO2 emissions under the Paris accord. While coal is getting squeezed by natural gas I don't think it will be going away any time soon and no one is suggesting that in the BP document.
