I agree with most of it. But I have my own additional ethics.
1- I always eat what I hunt or catch(fishing). Although almost all hunters I know do the same. If I am not going to eat it, then I don’t kill it.
2- I only hunt prey animals. In nature, there are predators and prey. Man is a predator. It just feels wrong for me to hunt other predators. But I don’t begrudge other hunters who hunt predatory animals.

This would matter if people were actually able to take in information rationally and not react emotionally. Unfortunately emotions are the primary driver and when you try to stand up a rational argument against an emotional one, you lose every time.

Great article but the people who need to understand this just go bonkers when they find out an "evil" shot an elephant. They fail to realize that herds need to be thinned for population health and the positive economic impact on the local economy.
