Still a Few More Chapters to be Written Before Guantánamo Disappears < IDN-InDepthNews
MY SAY: According to the Law of War and Geneva Conventions, even lawful combatant POWs "may be held until the end of hostilities." Gitmo detainees are at least unlawful combatants and may be held without charge or trial until the War on Terror is over. Already, 745 of just under 800 have been RELEASED, and NONE have been executed, beheaded, blown up, hacked to death, dragged naked and lifeless through the streets, drowned or burned alive. All things our enemies have done to us and/or our allies. There is no moral comparison between Gitmo and how our enemies treat their captives.
