Sunday marked Calgary’s snowiest September day in history

I live a 3 hundred miles north of Calgary. I live in Edmonton and it takes about 4 hours to get to Calgary. Our weather up here changes drastically because a week and a half ago it was in the low 70s in Edmonton. Last weekend, it got down to probably 35 degrees in the daytime. In September 15th, 2018 the day I got promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, it snowed here in Edmonton while I was in California. A month from now, it'll probably stay below freezing all the way to March or April. Currently, We will probably have cool weather in the low 50s but it gets below freezing at night now. Normally, Edmonton is a lot colder and has a lot more snow than Calgary 4 hours to South. I believe the snow from Calgary was part of the same system that hit Wyoming and Montana. The climate emergency will actually help Canada have longer growing seasons. I actually hate the cold. This summer was the coldest I can recall and I don't think we hit 90° one time this year. Normally, we get two weeks of 90 degree plus weather. Last may, we had two days of snow in the American soldiers here at Canadian Forces base Wainwright were prepared for cold weather and we walked to the chow hall in a light snow flurry.
